• Choose the right server for your skill level and play style. Avoid crowded servers with high ping and experienced players.

• Craft a spear and a bow as soon as possible. These are the most effective early-game weapons that can help you hunt, defend, and raid.

• Use a decoy base to trick raiders into thinking they have found your loot. Hide your real base somewhere else or make it look like a raided base.

• Farm animals for low-grade fuel, which you need for furnaces, boats, and lamps. Use a ranged weapon to kill them safely and efficiently.

• Listen to the footsteps of different animals and players. You can tell who or what is approaching by the sound they make.

• Use triangle foundations to create honeycombs and increase the durability of your base. Honeycombs are extra layers of walls that make your base harder to raid.

• Use vending machines to block raiders from accessing your loot rooms or tool cupboards. Vending machines are large and sturdy objects that can be used as barricades or traps.

• Use the sleeping bag and bed to set your spawn point and respawn faster. You can craft a sleeping bag with 30 cloth and a bed with 100 wood and 30 cloth. You can place them inside your base or somewhere hidden.
